OPEN POSITION: PART-TIME BEERTENDER

About the Role
We are looking to add a part-time beertender to our small, but mighty team—carrying on our culture of unadulterated taproom hospitality and helping to nurture a strong taproom community. Our future beertender is passionate and knowledgeable about Craft Beer and is always excited to share their enthusiasm with others. As an ambassador for Ladd & Lass, you will be instrumental in ensuring a warm, welcoming, and safe experience for all. Whether it’s walking through our taplist, telling out-of-town visitors about the neighborhood, or simply chatting about the weather, you will be a keen and engaged host.

Ladd & Lass Brewing (L&L) is an award-winning labor of love from husband-and-wife team, Nick Ladd and Jessie Quan. Proudly brewer-owned and owner-operated, L&L is focused on brewing a diverse roster of beer styles that resonates with beer lovers and non-beer lovers alike. Located in the University District, we are proud to be a neighborhood watering hole serving some of the best beer around. Unapologetically geeky about fermentation, we are also unapologetically passionate about creating an inclusive Craft Beer experience for all. 

Qualifications
• 21+
• Able to work weekends
• Able to work 15-20 hours over 3 shifts per week
• Have a MAST permit
• Comfortable interacting with humans (young, old, and in between) and dogs
• Comfortable working solo shifts
• Able to remain flexible in response to ever-changing situations
• Comfortable maneuvering kegs
• Able to stand/walk on a continual basis

Responsibilities
• Serve as a friendly & helpful ambassador for L&L and Craft Beer
• Responsibly pour and serve alcoholic beverages
• Perform opening and closing tasks
• Maintain a clean and tidy taproom
• Be an organized and calm presence in the taproom
• Accurately prepare bills and process payments
• Represent L&L at off-site events, as needed
• Participate in QA/QC, as needed

Bonus Points
• Previous experience working in a taproom/brewpub
• Existing familiarity with L&L
• Existing familiarity with the U-District
• Appreciation of smushed-face dogs
• Enjoys dad jokes

Compensation
$22/hour + tips

Start Date
