WA Beer Awards 2022

We brought home some hardware from the 2022 WA Beer Awards at the beginning of the month and it feels like the proper thing to do is to commemorate it here on our website. So, here goes!

Holographic Memory
Silver for Juicy or Hazy Imperial or Double India Pale Ales
Originally brewed for Hop Mob 2022, this IPA has quickly become a crowd favorite. With absurd amounts of Centennial, Cryo Citra, Cryo Sabro, and Ekuanot Lupomax, this beer is so good it’ll make your photographic memory holographic!

The Pale Project
Bronze for Pro-Am
While we love all of the beers that we brew, this one holds a special place in our hearts. The Pale Project is collaboration between three homebrew-loving friends—Shawn Miller, Tony Ochsner (co-owner of Micro Homebrew), and L&L brewer Nick Ladd—who cut their craft teeth on early 2000’s pale ale, but also appreciate today’s more hop-forward pale ales. This is an ongoing project that seeks to find the happy balance between traditional and contemporary takes on pale ale. This version, the second iteration, is lightly malty with a balanced dry hop of Citra and Cascade.

This beer is brewed in honor of Shawn, L&L’s biggest supporter and loudest advocate. He was an amazing human who always led by example and is fiercely missed by all who knew him. We hope this project conveys his passion for the craft of beer making and captures his spectacular spirit. #WeLoveYouShawn #FuckCancer
